EKSPLORIS ADVENTURE RACE 2008

PLACE AND RACE CENTRE: Camping pod Krokwią , Zakopane, Poland
At the race centre: race headquarters, camping places, access to toilets and showers, not guarded parking place, restaurant, pub.
SCHEDULE:
Friday, 02.05.2008
- 11.00 – 15.00 - arrival and verification of the racers at the race headquarters;
- 16.00 – 17.30 - start of the Salomon Trail Running race – around 12 km; (it’s also a stage – prologue of the Eksploris AR)
- 18.00 – price giving ceremony for the Salmon Trail Running race
- 20.00 – 20.30 - technical briefing for Eksploris AR
Saturday, 03.05.2008
- 08.00 – beginning of the handicap start for the Eksploris AR;
- 09.00 – mass start for the rest of the teams;
- 21.00 – closure of the both courses;
- 21.30 - announcement of the results and prize giving ceremony of the EKSPLORIS AR;
- 22.00 – ??? – hot meal by the campfire.

- until13.00 - leaving the race centre.

Lodgings:
The Organizers guarantee camping places on Friday and Saturday night at the race centre (Camping pod Krokwią). At the place, there are also showers and toilets available.
Participation, categories:
- competition will be run parallel on two courses: PROFI, OPEN;
- PROFI course for teams of two only (two men – MM category, women and man - MIX category), and OPEN course – regardless of the gender;
- competition on the PROFI and OPEN course will be a part of the ARCUP 2008 series as well as of Salomon Trail Running series;
- competitors of both PROFI and OPEN course must be at least 18 years old, individuals over the age of 16 will be allowed to participate on condition of presenting permission in writing from parents or tutors.
Race registration:
1. Everyone who will fulfill the following conditions can take part in EKSPLORIS ADVENTURE RACE:
a) fills in the registration form available at the race website (registration form) or registers in person at the Race Headquarters (during registration before the race).
b) additionally sends an up-to-date registration form to the organizer’s email address: biuro@eksploris.pl, eksploris@arcup.com
c) pays the entrance fee in the amount stated in the Rules and Regulations of the race. The payment voucher should be presented during the registration at the Race Headquarters.
d) signs a Waiver before the start.
e) Each participant should report himself at the Race Headquarters after arrival and confirm taking part in the race.
2. Registration fees
Registration deadline: 21st of May 2008.
Profi - 200,00 PLN /team/ (for those who register and pay before the deadline), 250,00 PLN (for those registered after the deadline)
Open - 170,00 PLN /team/ (for those who register and pay before the deadline), 140,00 PLN (for those registered after the deadline)
a) Payment after the 21st of May will not guarantee all the services.
b) The registration fee will not be returned to those who won’t finish the race, as well as to those who won’t participate in the race.
c) Cut down, change or cancellation of the race course or the race itself while performing the race, cannot be the reason for the registration fee returns.
d) In the case of the cancellation of the race course or the course itself before the beginning of the race, all the participants will be returned the registration fee, which they had paid.
3. Payment transfer
a) The registration fee can be transferred from the traditional as well as internet banks to the bank account of the Organizer or paid in cash at the Race Headquarters.
b) Please make sure to give the title of the payment on the bank transfer voucher: „entrance fee EKSPLORIS AR + NAME OF THE TEAM.
c) Organizer is not responsible for the dates of the banks’ money transfers. The only criterion for the acceptance of the bank transfers is the date of the first presence of the payment at the Organizer’s bank account.

The registration fee covers:
- spot at the camping place on Friday and Saturday night (Camping pod Krokwią) with an access to showers.
- race t-shirt;
- race numbers;
- campfire after the race;
- hot meal and drinks by the campfire;
- water in the TA(1,5 L /team)
- equipment transport to TAs;
- race maps and race materials;
- medical assistance,
- race judges,
- gear needed for the special tasks,
- trophies, product prizes for the best in each category,
- other services depending on the possibilities of the Organizer.
Race courses:
PROFI:
Distance around 85 km, including: MTB – 50 km, trekking – 13 km, orienteering - 12 km, inline skates- 8 km, Special Task.
OPEN:
Distance around 40 km, including: MTB – 25 km, orienteering - 5 km, trekking – 10 km, ZS;
Course time limit for both courses – 12 hours
PARTICIPANTS’ EQUIPEMENT
- During the whole race participants are allowed to use only their own equipment (available at the start and in the transition zones). Acceptance and using of the equipment delivered by somebody from the outside is not allowed.
- All teams must have the mandatory equipment listed in the Regulations part.
- Organizers are allowed to check the mandatory equipment during the race, at the randomly chosen CPs.
- In the case of missing something from the mandatory equipment, the team will receive a time penalty according to the regulations.
- Equipement transport.
As the support teams are not allowed, the race crew is responsible for the transport of the participants’ equipment.
